Shaco is cats, Malphite is a sand castle, and Naafiri is a hot dog… Welcome to Patch 25.07! We have a handful of April Fools changes, live for this patch only, on the rift and in ARAM so make sure to jump in on those while you can. The Visual Update for LeBlanc is here, serving deceit and updated looks, an update to the Rare Sigil acquisition rate in Demon's Hand, and the second wave of Guests of Honor are hitting Arena!

The highlight of our live gameplay updates is an update to Yorick! He'll summon more Mist Walkers, be more self-reliant, and have a much better laning phase but is losing some late-game damage as compensation. He's also getting a suite of quality-of-life changes and bug fixes. Go ping your Mist Walker high score!

Other live balance updates include tightening lane swap detection, follow-up balance on Naafiri, Gwen, and Singed, making Yone fairer to play against, and delivering the usual array of balance updates.

April Fools 2025

Mayhem vs. Merriment is here! Party Drake, cat minions, and disco-fueled chaos take over as Shaco's pranks clash with Pengu Garen's wholesome hype. Dash through speed pads, trigger surprise events, and join the party before it's gone! All of these temporary changes will be active in non-ranked queues so don't worry this won't impact your climbs (or descents) on the ladder.

Pengu Garen will be available for the duration of this patch. It is a freely selectable skin for Garen available in all game modes!

There are even more Easter eggs hidden in the game, so have fun discovering them! Pengu is exclusively available for April Fools' and will be leaving the Rift after two weeks. Party Drake will also be spawning less frequently after the first three days, so make sure to hop on before it's too late.

PARTY DRAKE (SUMMER'S RIFT)

Party Drake Soul

  • Gain 30% Bonus Movement Speed when within 650 range of your allies.
  • For every 5% Bonus Movement Speed, gain 1% bonus AD and AP.

Dragon Slayer Buff

  • Receive a Party Favor item in your inventory. If your item slots are full, the Party Favor will be opened for you automatically. Party Favors will award a random amount of gold between 150 and 250 and also a Skill Point.
  • Gain a groovy disco aura, causing nearby ally minions to sparkle!

Terrain

  • Disco pads will appear in bases and the jungle.
  • Stepping on different Disco pads will grant a stacking Movement Speed buff. (Decaying Burst and a constant bonus)
  • A duckie disco ball will appear in your base.
  • Clicking on the Duckie disco ball will channel an effect, granting you more stacks of movement speed.

SHACO'S MAYHEM (SUMMONER'S RIFT AND ARAM)

Shaco Boxes

  • Cat Shaco boxes will spawn along the lane (both in Summoner's rift and in ARAM)
  • Picking up a box will grant you a random cute effect.
  • Every 10 stacks will grant you a Minor Party Favor item.
  • We're not sure how Pengu Garen will feel about these boxes.

ARAM BUT MAKE IT FAST

  • Summoner Haste increased to 200%.
  • Cappa Juice now costs 300 Gold, with no stack limit.
  • Snowball is looking a little different.

KNOWN ISSUES

  • If a Party Favor would grant a skill point, due to having a full inventory, it doesn't pop up the skill-up UI until the next level is reached, then you're able to spend that extra point.

Leblanc Visual Update

The LeBlanc Visual Update is here with updated models, animations, ability icons, VO, VFX, SFX, Splashes, and Skins.

Similar to what we've done with some past Visual Updates for Champions, LeBlanc's Prestigious skin is getting a price increase from 520 RP to 750 RP to reflect the higher quality bar. We also made a lot of changes to the SFX of the Ravenborn Leblanc skin so we're also going to be increasing the price of it as well from 975 RP to 1350RP to reflect that higher quality bar. If you don't own these skins you'll be able to purchase them at a cheaper price before the Visual Update goes live so grab them while you can!

Demon's Hand

Overall we're really excited about the reception of Demon's Hand and we've loved seeing some of the hands and sigil combos you've been sharing across various platforms. We did take a look based on some feedback at the acquisition rate of some of the Rare Sigils that are acquired by playing League and discovered that there was an unintended interaction with the hidden missions that are granting those Sigils. In 25.07 you should notice a significantly easier time to acquire them. This fix will result in you earning increased progress towards those hidden missions by about 80% per minute of gameplay.
  • Fixed an unintended behavior with the β€œhidden” missions that grant Sigils that should now result in you earning them much faster.

Systems

HOMEGUARD & FOUNTAIN

It's become a commonplace tactic for mid laners to rush Symbiotic Soles and repeatedly Recall to fill up their health and mana before rushing back to lane, which removes almost all sense of attrition in the lane. Since we like that Soles are a popular and viable item on supports, we'd rather adjust the Recall incentives than nerf the boots themselves. Mathematically, the changes below result in shorter trips to base when low on resources and slower trips when already near full.

Fountain Healing

  • Maximum HP per second: 10.4% β‡’ 8%
  • Maximum MP per second: 12.4% β‡’ 10%
  • Early game missing HP/MP per second: 6% β‡’ 16%

Homeguard Speed

LANE SWAP DETECTION

We're further shrinking the lane swap detection area so that it should no longer catch champions who find themselves fighting in the enemy jungle.
  • Lane Swap Detection in mid lane has been shrunk to no longer overlap with most of the Raptor Pit.

Brand

Passive damage increased.

Brand jungle has been suffering from some pretty heavy jungle nerfs last season. He barely sees play in the jungle anymore so we're looking to loosen up on some of those damage cap restrictions and return him to viability.

Darius has been overperforming all over the rift, not just in the jungle. We're looking to expand the window of safety and ability for opponents to punish a Darius after use of E in the early game. This change aims to make E a more intentional choice and the impacts of wasting it should be felt more clearly.

Gwen

Q final damage decreased. W scaling adjusted.

Gwen is too strong after her 15.6 changes, and more early game skewed than intended. To ensure she's still somewhat of a scaling champion as intended, we're going back on some of the previous early game buffs and re-adding some of her old scaling.

Q - Snip Snip

Ivern is weak, especially in the early game. We're looking to buff up his ability to make early plays to make him more attractive as a pick especially for skilled players.

Lillia

E damage decreased.

We overshot Lillia's buffs last patch but we really like the new E cooldown, so we're undoing the AP ratio buff, since she doesn't need quite so much power.

Lulu

Q damage decreased. W cooldown increased at higher ranks.

Last patch we waited to see if the Lulu fever would die down due to nerfing some of her more common lane mates. That hasn't happened, so consider this patch an antibiotic aimed at making the support metagame more equal. We're targeting her early lane trades in order to especially let higher MMR players take early leads and bringing down some of her W uptime later on to leave up more room for counter-play.

Q - Glitterlance

  • Minimum Damage: 70 / 105 / 140 / 175 / 210 (+ 50% AP) β‡’ 60 / 95 / 130 / 165 / 200 (+ 50% AP)

  • Fixed a bug that would occasionally make the slow decay faster than intended.

W - Whimsy

Naafiri

Base health decreased. Passive monster damage decreased. Q damage to minions increased. W cooldown increased at lower ranks.

Naafiri is the top (jungle) dog after her recent update. Her early game is looking especially dominant, so we're taking down some base stats and clear speed to give her opponents an easier time early on. Jungle is currently looking a bit stronger than mid, so we're buffing her Q waveclear vs. minions to make sure mid Naafiri isn't hit as hard.

Olaf

E cast time now scales with Attack Speed.

Olaf E can feel slow at higher attack speeds with no AS scaling making you not feel good about using it and interrupting your AA flow.

E - Reckless Swing

  • Now scales cast time based on attack speed.
  • Cast Time: .25s β‡’ .25-.175 (0-125% bonus attack speed (includes W))

Shaco

Passive damage increased. Q damage increased.

AP Shaco is already pretty strong but AD Shaco has been lagging behind. Buffing up some of those short ranged higher commitment AD ratios to amplify that backstabbing assassin fantasy.

Shen

Q now applies flat damage to structures.

: Shen was always intended to be a functional splitpusher, but in the current state of the game he simply doesn't have enough damage against structures to threaten real damage. Letting his Q base damage work against turrets should give him a bit of extra sidelane pressure.

Q - Twilight Assault

  • [NEW] Attack Speed and flat damage now apply against structures. Percent max health damage is not applied.

Singed

Passive cooldown increased. Q Damage increased. R bonus stats decreased.

Singed has received a number of changes alongside his recent minion execute, and we believe that the version of Singed with more power budget in Poison Trail damage is better for the game, so we're bringing that back in exchange for some power elsewhere.

: Trundle has received a lot of changes that skewed him towards lower MMR, and we don't believe he needs to be so skewed. Bringing back some of his pillar power to buff up the most skilled troll players.

Volibear

Volibear is cool, but building AD on him is clearly worse than AP or tank. Trying to bring AD builds up to match the others in a way that rewards sustained combat, not exclusively bursting people.

W - Frenzied Maul

  • Empowered Damage Amp: 50% β‡’ 50% (+ 15% Bonus AD)

Xerath

Q damage increased. W damage adjusted. E damage decreased. R damage adjusted.

Xerath has lost some focus as a premier artillery mage mid laner over time and has transitioned a good chunk of his play rate to support. We would like to make some power adjustments to more clearly emphasize his prowess as a mid laner and reward high cost AP purchases with his kit.

Yone

Passive Critical damage reduction removed. E Crowd Control cleanse removed.

We're making some Yone adjustments this patch that we hope will be enjoyed by both Yone's players and his opponents. He's copying his younger half-brother in also removing the critical damage reduction on his passive, meaning more damage, more kills, and more Yone wins. On the other side, we're also removing his ability for E to cleanse all types of crowd control during its snap-back. Now he'll still be stunned, rooted blinded, etc. if he's been crowd controlled mid flight, which gives his opponents room to catch up and kill him, or at least require Yone players to be more careful about where they start their assault from.

Passive - Way of the Hunter

  • Critical Strike Damage is no longer reduced by 10%.

E - Soul Unbound

  • No longer cleanses crowd control upon returning.
  • Tooltip clarifies that only damage from attacks and abilities is amplified.

Yorick

Large adjustments to Yorick.

We're delivering a large-scale update to Yorick this patch with two primary goals. First, we'd like to make Yorick better for Yorick players, filling in some of his dead points and making him a more complete champion. Second, we'd like to make him stronger in higher level play, adding some extra skill expression to Yorick and making him more resilient when faced with high-skill opponents. We're also doing some minor adjustments that make Yorick easier to re-tune in the future. More on that later.

To make Yorick more self-sufficient and fill in gaps in his gameplay, we're pushing up his early game a ton and improving his fights outside of lane. More graves on minions you don't kill with Q, graves for simply whacking a champion or large/epic monster, simple numbers buffs to Q, and a new E debuff that Yorick himself can use, instead of only amplifying his Mist Walkers.

On the skill expression side, we're making Yorick care more about his own output (again, Q buffs and E change) while also changing up the rules on Mist Walkers' health. Ultimately, they're more numerous and less damaging late game, but also more resilient to more types of damage, meaning that they can stand and fight against champions a bit more.

There are a few bug fixes, especially for Mist Walkers. By changing his summons to care about Yorick's bonuses instead of total stats, any further adjustments to Yorick's base stats won't also affect all his summons, making it easier to have more focused changes in the future. For Maiden, the resulting health is essentially identical, while the other changes are intentionally nerfs in the late game.

Catalyst of Eons is a little weak for a laning epic. We'd like to preserve its distinct price point from Lost Chapter in order to retain some laning variance, but the item shouldn't be so painful to buy and we'd like its mana to keep up with its sibling.

Umbral Glaive has been in a weak state for a while but we've been hesitant to just strictly buff it due to its extremely powerful passive. We've decided to tone down the frequency of the passive to be less oppressive against enemy vision while buffing its stats and cost. Overall we expect this to be a net buff to the item.

Hello ARAMers, for this patch, we're focusing on champions that haven't been evaluated in a while. Other updates are simple balance tweaks, reassessing their power relative to other champions in their class.

Elise

  • Players inside of Elise Guest of Honor cocoons struggle to break free, causing the cocoon to lose 1 HP every 1.5s; this damage can not break the cocoon.
  • Elise cocoons spawned in the death realm will now return to the living realm.

NORMAL AUGMENTS

  • Omni Soul: When taking Omni Soul while you have Dragon Heart with 4+ Souls, Omni Soul will grant you Elder Dragon rather than skipping a soul.
  • Infernal Conduit: Brand, Annie, Shyvana, Corki W, Ornn W, Rumble Q/R no longer count as burns for Infernal Conduit.
  • Infernal Conduit: Now has a per Ability per target Cooldown instead of a global Cooldown to match other on-Ability-hit Augments.
  • Hold Very Still time to Invisibility: 1.5s β‡’ 1.25s
  • Clothesline: 20-300 β‡’ 20-300 (+ 20% AP) (+ 30% Bonus AD) (+ 2% Bonus HP)
  • Clown College: Damage from the death trigger cannot win a round.
  • Dive Bomber: Damage from the death trigger cannot win a round.
  • It's Killing Time: For spells with ongoing effects this will trigger if it comes off cooldown while the ability is still active. Galio/Fiddlesticks will now trigger just before they land. Pantheon will now trigger this just before his spear lands.
  • All For You: Now amps all healing/shielding given to your partners > allies.
  • Dual Wield: (Reworked) When you Attack, fire a secondary bolt at the same target that deals 50% damage and On-Hit's at 50% effectiveness.
  • Dual Wield Total Attack Speed: 100% β‡’ 50%
  • Phenomenal Evil: No longer triggers each time Brand or Lillia apply their passive. These passives now respect the augments cooldown.
  • Jeweled Gauntlet/Vulnerability: Adjusted the crit formula to be less egregious with crit damage.
  • Wisdom of Ages: If taken as your 2nd Augment, gain 2 additional levels.
  • From Beginning to End: Dark Harvest damage per soul 10 β‡’ 20
  • From Beginning to End: Starting Souls per Augment 4 β‡’ 8

  • Nesting Doll now properly knocks back on revive.
  • Prowler's Claw no longer shows a buff icon after dashing.
  • Decapitator Ult VFX now properly displays between rounds.
  • Abilities that roll to see if they crit no longer roll a second time for Jeweled Gauntlet or Vulnerability.
  • Nilah Q can now crit with Jeweled Gauntlet.
  • Reckoner's Arena Pillars will no longer be amped by Jeweled Gauntlet.
  • Vulnerability and Jeweled Gauntlet will no longer roll on top of each other allowing for lucky crits or the possibility of double critting. In the case where both augments apply, we roll for the one with a higher crit damage (Jeweled Gauntlet).
  • Soul Siphon is no longer triggered multiple times when you have both Jeweled Gauntlet and Vulnerability.
  • Ultimate Rev now has a 6 second cooldown for Brand's R so that it correctly bounces when CD is refunded.
  • Chauffeur no longer stops Ornn E if you're moving.
  • Viktor now correctly gains 40 stacks in the buy phase.
  • Fixed a bug where casting W would put your Kled Guest of Honor Summoner Spell on CD.
  • Ocean Soul tracker no longer counts healing during non-combat rounds.
  • Spellwake and Doomsayer now properly trigger on both enemies when one ability hits both, rather than only on one of them.

As a small note, since we increased the number of Clash tournaments per year, we're also reverting the reward requirements to what they originally were.

Blue Essence Emporium has returned!

With 25.07 comes the return of the Blue Essence Emporium and it'll be active until patch 25.09 goes live.

With this return of the BEE we have a new offering of the β€œEmporium Enjoyer” title for 250,000 BE. Spend your hoards of Blue Essence for some cosmetics while it's active, and just as a reminder that the next time the Essence Emporium returns it'll be closer to the end of this year.

Jhin and Vel'Koz BE Pricing

Earlier this year we reduced the BE cost of all champions by 50% which led to the death of some specific prices on champions that both players and devs were fans of. We've heard your asks to bring this back and we have some updates on this.

In 25.07, Jhin will be available for 1234 Blue Essence, and Vel'Koz will be available for 1618 Blue Essence.

The Sanctum and Quantum Galaxy Slayer Zed

With the delay of Sahn-Uzal Mordekaiser skin we're going to be extending Quantum Galaxy Slayer Zed's banner until the next banner item rotates in.

Prestige Battle Academia Qiyana

While testing and preparing the new shop we discovered a bug where the Prestige Battle Academia Qiyana listing wasn't properly granting her Icon Border. We weren't able to get this fixed in time for release, so for a moment if you purchase her she will come without the Icon Border.

We will be retroactively granting this for players at a later date when we have the issue fixed but currently don't have an ETA on that. So don't worry if it's missing, we will get it to you. We'll let you know as soon as we have an update on this.

Bugfixes & QoL Changes

  • Fixed a bug where Singed's Q could execute Tryndamere in his ult, bypassing his invincibility.
  • Fixed an issue where attacking with a fully stacked Lead the Way passive from Trailblazer does not slow the target if you're a melee champion.
  • Fixed an issue where Gwen's R would sometimes display debug text.
  • Fixed an issue where some of the visual displays of Sudden Death being active were not displaying.
  • Fixed an issue where Sylas using R on Zeri would cause the Zeri R to not trigger Sylas's R cooldown.
  • Fixed an issue where if Viego possessing Mel used W to kill an enemy champion it would prevent Viego from using his passive.
  • Fixed an issue where Naafiri R would not cross terrain if a target was right next to it.
  • Fixed an issue where Naafiri W would create an extra redundant buff icon.
  • Fixed an issue where Naafiri's packmates would not dash alongside her.
  • Fixed a tooltip issue with Aurora where there was some inconsistent cApItAlIzAtIoN.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Rift Herald spawn indicator to be incorrect.
  • Fixed an issue where Mordekaiser's Q would cast toward the mouse indicator and not the direction he's facing.
  • Fixed an issue that caused some tooltip inconsistencies with Varus's E.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Fishing in the Sea Nemesis Quest buffs/debuffs to be missing.
  • Fixed an issue that caused Jax's R animations to stop playing after ranking up R.
  • Fixed an issue that caused Neeko's ability shop descriptions to not match her updated functionalities.
  • Fixed a Practice Tool bug where elemental rift features would not reset after using the Reset Game function.
  • Fixed a Practice Tool bug where only one type of Elemental Drake would spawn regardless of the specific Spawn Elemental Drake function used.
  • Fixed a Practice Tool bug where spawning a Dragon also spawned Atakhan.
  • Fixed a Practice Tool bug where Atakhan's terrain elements would remain on the map after using the Reset Game function.
