Welcome to the Golden Spatula Cup #1!

This weekend, 128 of the best players in EMEA will fight to gain GSC points, 11,450€ in cash prize, and a direct invite to the Rising Legends Finals.

General Overview of GSC #1

WHAT: To make sure you are aware of how the Golden Spatula Cup #1 works, you can check the Ruleset on this link.

WHEN: The GSC #1 will take place 14th - 16th of July. Each day, the pre-show will start at 15:30 CEST and the first game at 16:00 CEST.

WHO: 128 players who qualified to GSC #1 through Open Qualifier, Ladder, and TFT Regional Competitions (TRCs).

WHERE: On the official English streaming in the Teamfight Tactics Twitch channel and in Lolesports.com or in the official co-streamings in different languages.

WHY: To gain GSC points, 11,450€ in cash prize, and a direct invite to the Rising Legends Finals.

Format Explainer

Each day of the tournament will consist of six rounds that will be reseeded after every game, following a swiss system. This means that players are paired randomly in the first round and then face opponents with similar records in subsequent rounds.

At the end of day 1, the field will be narrowed down to the top 64 players who will advance to day 2.

On day 2, the remaining players will battle it out for a chance to secure their spot on day 3. The top 32 players from day 2 will progress to the final day of the tournament.

Day 3 is the ultimate showdown, where the top 32 players will compete fiercely for the ultimate prize. The player who emerges victorious on day 3 will secure their spot in the Rising Legends Finals.

Players finishing between 2nd and 64th place will earn valuable Golden Spatula Cup Points that will accumulate across all three cups of the tournament series. At the conclusion of the three cups, the top 21 points earners will earn their well-deserved spots in the Rising Legends Finals.

Player Qualification System

We will have 128 qualified players that earned their spot in the tournament in 3 different ways:

OPEN QUALIFIER

A competition held on July 8 - 10 in which the top 32 players will qualify for the GSC#1 tournament.

RANKED LADDER

Rank Lock will provide 48 spots in the Golden Spatula Cup to the best players on the ladder:

  • EUW: 30 spots.
  • EUNE: 10 spots.
  • TR: 6 spots.
  • RU: 2 spots.

TRC

A total of 48 players from TRCs will qualify for the Golden Spatula Cup #1 Tournament:

  • DACH: 6 spots.
  • France: 6 spots.
  • Eastern Europe: 6 spots.
  • Poland: 6 spots.
  • Türkiye: 5 spots.
  • RoEMEA: 5 spots.
  • Northern Europe: 4 spots.
  • Spain: 4 spots.
  • MENA: 3 spots.
  • Italy: 3 spots.
