The Shops Update

Mythic Shop, Your Shop, and Blue Essence Emporium.

Last year we mentioned that we had some changes coming to the Mythic Shop, so today, we’re excited to share some updates. We’ll share what’s live in tomorrow’s patch, and also cover what to expect with Your Shop and the Blue Essence Emporium throughout this year.

Updating the Mythic Shop

The Mythic Shop serves as a way to give you a second chance to obtain content that you might have missed from past Passes, Events, and limited-time Shop offerings. It hasn’t seen any functional changes in quite some time, but in this update we’re addressing some pain points we’ve seen you bring up and bringing in some quality of life updates.

Our vision for the Mythic Shop is that it provides not just a second chance, but potentially multiple chances a year in getting the past content you’ve been waiting to obtain. We want to show you more stuff so you have more opportunities to buy the stuff you want. Since there’s also more things at lower price points, we want that to rotate through faster so you can see more of it per patch. It also should be extremely clear when content is going away and when you can expect new content to be in it.

So, we’re evolving the shop to ensure we can deliver on that vision consistently.

The first thing you’ll notice in the new shop is the timers for each category, showing you exactly how long that content will be in the shop. Each “type” of content will have a different timer, and when that expires, a new offering of the same category will generate in its place.

Categories:

  • Featured - Updates when something new is released or there’s something specific we want to highlight

    • Nexus Finishers, Mythic Shop Prestige Skins, etc.

  • Bi-weekly (Every two weeks) (12) - Mythic Skins

    • Past Prestige Skins, Seasonal Mythic Skins (i.e. Ashen Knight), Hextech Skins

  • Weekly (8)  - Chromas

    • Past Event Chromas

  • Daily (4) -  Accessories

    • Emotes, Wards, Icons

The fact that the offerings outside of the Featured section are being randomly selected, instead of manually assigned, means that in each patch you’ll see up to 56 different accessories, 16 different Chromas, and 12 different Mythic Skins. We’ll be looking to your feedback to find what “feels” right. We want the Mythic Shop to feel like you have multiple chances in a year to see the same item and not, “I have to wait X years for the next chance.”

However, now that the content is automatically generated we won’t be able to provide a preview of what is coming in the next rotation outside of the Featured Category. This means you’ll still get a heads up for the new upcoming Prestige Skins you may be holding onto your ME for, but the other categories will be a surprise.

Additionally, we’ve also decoupled the Chroma/Icon bundles in the shop. Some players who wanted the chromas didn’t want the icons, and others only wanted the icon. By splitting them up, you can now pick and choose what you get, so instead of 40 ME for the bundle, it’ll be 35 ME for the Chroma and 5 ME for the icon. Look forward to seeing these icons added to the Accessories pool in the near future (but not at launch).

We’re excited about these changes for the Mythic Shop, and we’ll be looking for your feedback on this iteration of the shop as we aim to continue to improve the overall experience of it. We’re actively experimenting here with the volume and frequency for the different categories and looking forward to any feedback you have on it.

Mythic Shop Scheduling

As a part of this, the main reset time for the Mythic shop is 00:00:00 UTC on Thursday (4 PM PST Wednesday). So, for a brief moment, the 25.05 shop will carry over into 25.06 until the new shop kicks in. From that point on, the Mythic Shop rotations will be agnostic of usual patches and generate the same content for everyone on its new timers.

As mentioned above,we’ll highlight when new content is coming to the Featured section via Patch Notes (and sometimes in Dev Updates) when we give our upcoming Prestige Skins list.

Speaking of which… Prestige Battle Academia Qiyana will be in the Featured category until the next Prestige Shop skin, Aphelios, arrives later this summer.

This Year’s Your Shop Schedule

We view Your Shop as somewhat of an “event” that we try to balance out and schedule amongst everything else that you might see from through the client/shop. So the schedule year to year, and even duration, is going to sometimes shift a little bit to account for this.

This year we’re going to be running 5 Your Shops in 2025 where you’ll be able to grab some personalized discounted items for a period of time! One of those 5 shops will also be a “Legendary” Your Shop, so keep an eye out for that one.

The next Your Shop will be starting tomorrow with Patch 25.06 and running until patch 25.08 goes live. Just a heads up as we go through the year that Your Shop may not perfectly align with patch releases we have scheduled. You should make sure to pay attention to the timer in the client so you know when it’s going to leave. If there’s any sort of weird schedule change we’ll let you know but we’ll always have the coming Your Shops in the patch notes!

What’s coming for the Blue Essence Emporium

The Blue Essence Emporium is scheduled to run twice this year, the first one starting in patch 25.07 through 25.08. Then later to close out the year.

With some of our recent changes enabling you to gain more Blue Essence (cheaper champions, more BE on the pass) we want to begin to offer some new items to spend your hoards on. This coming Blue Essence Emporium will feature a brand new title that you can exchange your BE for. The “Emporium Enjoyer” Title will be available for 250,000 Blue Essence. While we just have one big addition this time we’re also keeping an eye out on some of your suggestions on what else you’d like to spend your Blue Essence on.

We’re also paying attention to how players react towards newer cosmetics to see if maybe we should make Blue Essence’d versions for the Emporium. We’ve recently introduced the banner and now a new title, but we’d love to hear what you might want to see here in the future.
